How We Celebrate Christmas at Home
Christmas at Home: Celebrating the Season Together
There’s something about Christmas that naturally invites us to slow down. As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, we’re reminded to pause, gather close, and focus on what truly matters. For our family, Christmas isn’t about perfection or packed schedules, it’s about being present, creating memories, and savoring the simple moments together.
The Meaning of Christmas to Us
Christmas is a season rooted in gratitude, faith, and love. It invites us to reflect on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, His birth, His sacrifice, and the gift of salvation He gave us. It’s a time to pause and recognize the blessings we’ve been given, and enter the season with hearts full of thanksgiving.
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” — Psalm 100:4
What Christmas Looks Like for Our Family
Each year, Christmas looks a little different, but the heart of it stays the same. No matter where we are, our favorite part is always the time we get to spend together.
Most mornings start slowly. Coffee brewing, Christmas music playing, and everyone easing into the day. A few of our seasonal staples:
Our Favorite Christmas Traditions
Some of our most cherished memories come from traditions we return to year after year.
Christmas Mornings
Christmas morning is all about being cozy and not rushed. We open gifts, sip warm drinks, make a fun holiday breakfast and enjoy the quiet excitement of the morning.
Afternoon Moments
As the day unfolds, we love baking treats to bring to family, playing games and getting outside for fresh air.
After a full day, we love changing into something comfortable and settling in for the night.
Creating Memories That Last a Lifetime
Traditions don’t have to be elaborate to be meaningful. Often, it’s the simplest moments; shared meals, late-night conversations, movie marathons, and slow mornings that stay with us the longest.
If there’s one thing we hope this season brings, it’s a reminder to slow down and savor time with the people you love.
We are so grateful for this season and for the community that surrounds Hadley’s Bungalow. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your homes, routines, and traditions, especially during such a meaningful time of year.
From our family to yours, we wish you a Christmas filled with warmth, peace, and moments that matter most.
Merry Christmas 🤍🎄
