Sweet Dreams
Leviticus 26:6- “I will give you peace in the land, and you will be able to sleep with no cause for fear. I will rid the land of wild animals and keep your enemies out of your land.” (New Living Translation)
In the world today, there is much to be afraid of. We catch wind of wars, violence, pain, new diseases, and illnesses to be fearful of and to try to avoid. It does not take much to look around and see the chaos that is all around. It is easy to lay your head down at night and become consumed with fears and anxieties about everything around you.
Yet, there is hope. Hope is one of those things that can radically transform an individual. Hope produces endurance in the darkest night. It is hope that allows the heart to rejoice, despite any circumstance. Hope enables you to put faith in what you have not yet seen. The hope amid chaos is this: that God is more sovereign, more powerful, and more loving than anything in this world. That this God is a giver of good gifts and in him there is abundance and fullness of life. One of the best gifts that this Good Father can give us is peace! He promises to give peace that transcends all understanding and peace guards our hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7) protecting us from the fear and anxieties that desire to overwhelm and overcome us.
To me, there is something so tender and precious about God promising the gift of his children being able to lay their heads down at night and sleep with no cause for fear. He is the protector and he works all things together for good.
One thing that our hope and prayer is with these pajamas is that as you clothe yourself in them each night before bed, you would become eager to read and hope in the Word that is inscribed in the very fabric of that which you are wearing. That your heart would gain the freedom to hope, rest, and be at peace in the one who loves you and has redeemed you. Our prayer is that every night, you would be able to sleep with no cause for fear for if you believe in Christ, the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world!
