Sweet Summertime!

Our Patriot Swim Collection is more than just adorable and festive—it holds deep meaning for our family here at Hadley’s Bungalow. It brings to life the spirit of summer celebrations while honoring traditions that are both nostalgic and symbolic to us.

Growing up, Memorial Day and the Fourth of July were the highlights of summer—classic American celebrations filled with sunshine, laughter, and my dad’s legendary BBQ. These were the days when family and friends gathered together to play games from sunup to sundown, set off epic fireworks, and end the night around a campfire with s’mores under the stars.

I still remember how quickly my sisters, friends, and I would devour freshly cut watermelon while the grill stayed hot to keep up with our appetites. Back then, summer meant freedom—the pure joy of swimming, playing, and just being together without a care in the world. It was simple. It was sweet. It was timeless.

Now that I’m older, I’ve come to more deeply understand the significance behind these holidays. Why do we celebrate? Because we are blessed to live in a country where we enjoy freedoms that many around the world can only dream of—freedoms that brave men and women have fought and sacrificed for.

We want to take a moment to honor and thank those who have given their lives so that we can live in these precious freedoms. As we celebrate, may we also reflect—with full hearts and deep gratitude.

This summer, we invite you to cherish the little things: hug your loved ones tighter, laugh a little louder, play a little longer, and soak in every moment. For the Doehring family, summer means rosy cheeks, pickleball tournaments, family walks at dusk, movie nights, and memories that last a lifetime.
